Albion Orchestra

Join the Albion Orchestra at St Gabriel’s, Pimlico for an evening showcasing some true gems of British symphonic repertoire.

Pianist Oliver Cuttriss opens the performance with Finzi’s Eclogue, the central movement of an unfinished piano concerto before the Albion Orchestra gives the first live performance of Ronald Corp’s Symphony No. 1.

Following this, we delve into Norwegian fairy tales and Greek comedy through Delius’ Eventyr and Vaughan Williams’ The Wasps, Aristophanic Suite.

Founded in 2023, the Albion Orchestra is a London-based orchestra made up of students from the country’s finest conservatories, and aims to promote and preserve British symphonic music. Following a successful inaugural concert, the orchestra quickly gained a reputation for versatility and quality, and looks forward to an exciting season.
